Keep Going, Keep Going, Keep Going

Preparing for graduate school can be challenging.  Beyond tips for getting accepted into a PhD program, undergraduate students also need encouragement about the journey.  Lets be honest for minute.  Applying to PhD programs is intimidating, tiring, and for many discouraging.  Students can get stressed out if they do not think about the whole picture.  For this reason, I encourage students to keep their heads up.

Life, especially one's professional life, can be challenging because each vocation makes it harder to climb to the top.  Yet, keep in mind that the climb is well worth it! One day you will see that, if you do not already realize that fact.   Also, remember that you can successfully achieve your career goal and PhD acceptance one step at a time.  One of the most important steps is to encourage yourself or find a source of personal encouragement.  If you, as a prospective student, get discouraged along the way, then you will probably crash along the journey towards becoming a PhD student in psychology.  However, ensuring that you get constant motivation, inspiration, and passion will carry you far.  Keep in my why you are going through this educational process.

I am including a video below that I find very encouraging.  We can only do so much in this world, but we do have control over how we feel.  Stay encouraged because their is a world out there that needs your passion and expertise.  You can make a difference.  Do not allow yourself or others to tell you otherwise.  Stay prosperous in mind and body (health).
