USF Psi Chi Graduate Counseling in Psychology Panel, Part 1-6
~QUOTE OF THE DAY~ "The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to adapt and change"-Carl Rogers
A fundamental part of applying for graduate school is understanding that the requirements for psychology programs differ based on the sub-field specification (clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology) and degree type (PhD or PsyD). For that reason, waiting until the last minute will become problematic as the requirements for items like a statement of purpose or critical thinking sample will vary by university. Listening to students who have already gone through the application process helps to remove the mysteriousness about the process. By learning tips on admission requirements, students will find the application process a lot smoother down the road.
In this post, I include a series of videos produced by the University of San Francisco on this topic. The following videos feature a panel of graduate students from various universities and representatives from the California School of Professional Psychology discussing their perspective on preparing for graduate school in Clinical Psychology. Additionally, the forum setting allows for students in the audience to ask questions.
Enjoy!
